We thank God for sparing our lives to have our bible discussions again and to remind ourselves about heaven and about eternal life, and to remind ourselves that Jesus Christ our Saviour has gone to prepare a place for us which we must continually aspire to join in there. We thank God for another grace of another day to teach ourselves that there is no profit in gaining the whole world and losing one soul. We thank God for another bible teaching reminding us that we cannot serve God and mammon and that love of money will always make someone to lose the fear of God. We thank God that His promise of He will never leave us without comfort and that He will send the Holy Spirit to us to teach us all truths is still standing and God keeps fulfilling it. Even in a world several people make decisions to bow down to the devil to get wealth and goodness of this world which leaves them with sorrows and turns them to people who are destroyed and children of perdition. We thank God for His comforting words that keeps us at the cross with Jesus Christ every time, telling us that righteousness with contentment is great gain. And that once we have food and raiment that is clothes, we should be grateful. We should not go after getting money that will make us get the whole world but we have lost the presence of God. And like Adam after he sinned against God, the man who used to love fellowship with God before now runs away from God. These are things Christianity is about. Church is about teaching us the fear of God and standing for God even when it is difficult. Any church the pastor is teaching about money and worldly pleasures and fame is not working for God. Because bible says we can't serve God and mammon, mammon is a demon that makes people do anything for money and most times they are things that lack humanity and make you abominable in the presence of God. Today God is teaching us that our God gives power to have wealth, God gives connections to get jobs or favours, God gives us strength to do our jobs, God brings customers to us, but God will not make you steal someone's money, God won't support you to get money for a project and not do the project, it's mammon who does that, mammon makes you collect money from church members who are struggling and you start using it to finger women and doing court case with people who talk about you, children of God, it's not difficult to recognise, but being spiritually blind can make us think these things are normal, they are not normal. Awake from your slumber children of God, Jesus Christ is after our soul not about money. Any money that takes fear of God from you is not God's will. May God open our spiritual understanding. Amen.
